What happened
Human Rights Watch's 2021 report and tracker document enforced disappearance allegations against Bangladesh security forces from 2009 onward, including people later released or shown arrested, alleged crossfire deaths, and unresolved missing cases. The HRW report describes nearly 600 cases reported by Bangladeshi rights groups and 86 verified cases in which victims remained missing. This record preserves pattern-level human-rights documentation; it does not publish individual victim details, private identifiers, or final criminal responsibility for any specific person.
